Ancient Saints & Angles of California


The state of California has places named after ancient saints, angles and people that were martyred in early Rome.  These place names are mostly only found in the Americas.



The City of Pomona is symbolic of Ephraim




Los Angles is named after The Virgin Mary


California’s motto ‘I have found it’.


California is Greek for ‘Rich Net Fishing’ & the original name of the gulf ‘El Mar bermejo’ meaning the Red Sea.
